Terms and Conditions of Driving Tuition
1. Legal Requirements and Fitness to Drive
You must hold a valid United Kingdom driving licence and present it to the instructor at the start of your first lesson. You must be legally fit to drive at all times. If the instructor suspects that you are under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any medication that affects your driving, the lesson will be cancelled immediately, and you will be charged the full fee.
2. Cancellation Policy
You must provide a minimum of forty-eight hours of notice if you wish to cancel or rearrange a driving lesson. If you do not provide this notice, you will be charged the full amount for the cancelled lesson, or the scheduled hours will be deducted automatically from your prepaid package.
3. Block Bookings and Packages
Purchasing a block of lessons provides you with a discounted hourly rate. Because this financial discount is applied to the entire block in advance, all package bookings are strictly non-refundable once the first lesson has commenced. If you decide to stop your lessons before completing the package for any reason, you will not receive a refund for any unused hours. Packages cannot be transferred to another person.
4. Code of Conduct and Behaviour
The driving school maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy towards aggressive behaviour, verbal abuse, or intentional damage to the training vehicle. If you display uncontrolled anger, act aggressively, or damage the vehicle physically during a lesson, the instructor reserves the right to terminate the lesson immediately. In such cases, the current lesson will be charged in full, and any remaining package hours will be cancelled immediately without a refund.
5. Use of the Vehicle for the Driving Test
The instructor reserves the right to withhold the use of the training vehicle for your practical driving test if, in their professional opinion, your driving is dangerous or not at the required test standard. This policy exists to protect your safety, the safety of the examiner, and the safety of the public. If you pre-pay a fee to hire the car for the test day, this specific fee is refundable if the agreement to use the car is cancelled in advance.
6. Payments and Deposits
All individual lessons or package bookings require an initial deposit to secure the time slot. The instructor will hold a reservation for two hours; if the deposit is not received within this time limit, the reservation will be lost. The remaining balance must be paid in full at the beginning of the first lesson.
